 1) What is Alkaline Metal? An alkaline metal is a solid that dissolves in water and can be highly reactants.

2) What Reaction did we do yesterday? Lithium and Sodium.

-Obeservations Sparks, Smoke, and Water splashing.

-Products&Reactants 2Na + H2O -Na2O + H2

-Chemical Equation Lithium&Sodium Oxide

3) Why do these metals react this way? They have 1 electron and it's out of a shell.
