Maths DLO

Hi guys. This my maths DLO. So on this maths DLO I am explaining what I did on the fast few days, so the maths work I'm working on is about taking away just play the slide and you will see what I did. 
I really like this maths work, sometimes it's hard but when you try to learn really hard it will be easier for you to do it.

Science will be twice per week.

  • Lesson 1: This will be an Experiment that involves blogging. You will be expected to open a new post, copy Mr Palmer's blog and paste it on your new post.
  • Lesson 2: This will be an Investigation that relates to the topic from Lesson 1. It will be own choice and displayed in a way that you prefer. For example - PowerPoint, Doc, etc

All the blogs and science lessons will be displayed on Mr Palmers blog:

Expectations:
  • 1 blog must be completed per Hurumanu lesson.
  • A completed blog must have the four headings ( Aim, Method, Findings, Conclusion), correct writing and punctuation under each heading and be published. No post, no points.
  • 2 images of the experiment / investigation on the blog.
Using the Scientific method of investigation:

Aim: What the experiment / investigation is about.
Method: Instructions on how the experiment / investigation is carried out. This includes the equipment.
Findings: What have we learnt or found out from our experiment / investigation. This is called Data, Information or Facts. It is displayed in a chart, table or picture.
Conclusion:  

My Hurumanu Science Goals:



1. My first goal is to get a science badge.


2. My second goal is to get many comments in my blog.


3.  My third goal is to post many blog about science.

GROUP ACTIVITY; 

  1. Groups of 3 or 4 students.
  2. Need A3 copy paper.

THE ICECAPS HAVE MELTED. MOST OF THE LAND IN THE WORLD HAS BEEN FLOODED AND YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS ARE ON A BOAT IN THE MIDDLE OF KNOW WHERE. YOUR BOAT IS SUDDENLY STRUCK BY A STORM AND YOU BECOME SHIPWRECKED ON A SMALL ISLAND. YOU ARE ONLY ALLOWED TO SELECT 20 ITEMS FOR YOUR GROUP. A SECOND BOAT IS TRAVELLING NEAR YOU BUT WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REACH YOU FOR 1 MONTH SO YOU NEED TO GATHER ENOUGH SUPPLIES TO LAST FOR A MONTH.

In your group you need to:


1. Make a list of the 10 things you are going to collect.
2. Draw a map of the island.
4. Draw and label the activities you will be involved with.
  • Renewable energy sites ( wind, solar, hydro, )
  • Living / shelter
  • Growing food
  • Write 3 sentences about how your group is going to live for the next month.
When you are drawing your map you need to list 4 places you can have renewable energy sites.

  • What animals keep our jackets warm? Birds feathers and some other animals
  • What animal makes our boots waterproof? Duck.
  • Where does the water in our rivers come from? Our water in our rivers is from rain, clouds, and snow.
  • Why do we need healthy rivers? Because we need water. our water comes from river.
  • What are some of the good things about mosquitoes? They clean the our water.
  • Why are bees dying? Because some of the bees live in the some place without flower.
  • What do bugs do to our leaves? They make our flower grow.

  • How much dung would we be in if there were no dung de- composers? There are two kinds of decomposes, scavengers and decomposes. Scavengers are animals that find dead animals or plants and eat them

Japanese


Hi Today I will be sharing what I learnt in Japanese languages.
So I will be writing the words that I learnt I will translate it in English.

(Shumi) It means Hobby 
(Sakkaa) It means Soccer.
(Hajimema shite) It means nice to meet you.
So this what we learnt in Japanese, my goal is to learn how to write a Japanese letter.

CIP/Colouring competition.

Today in community time we made a group of 3, so my group mate name is Alex and Jullien, They were the people that I choose to be in my group because they can work well with others and they are responsible person.

So in community time we talked about colouring competition, so we decided to have 3 pictures to colour in and with ages group like year 5 and 6. So many primary student like to have a colouring competition. So this event will probably take 2 days because some other student might missed this colouring competition like some other primary student. They might not come to school on the first day of colouring competition so for me i'm giving 2 days for this event so some other student can have a chance to try this competition. 

Having this activity is making people to relax and it makes them really happy.

Always Great, Never Late

There was a kid, her mum takes ages to get dressed.

What kind of dresses and clothes does she wore? She wears baggy trousers, a sparkly waistcoat, a fat bow tie and a purple jacket with lots of pockets. That makes her sound like a clown, but she isn’t a clown.

What do you think is her job? She’s probably a magician because of her dress style. Mostly magician wears baggy trouser, Sparkly waistcoats, a fat bow tie and purple jacket with lots of pockets. If anyone wears like that it would make them like a clown or magician.

Her mum jobs was a truly a magician because the end of story the picture was her mum riding a van with a plate number magic and the way he wears the dress it makes her look like a magician.







Learning Story Template

                                         Music
Today were doing a learning story about music. So in music I’ve already done a lot of blog post about music. My favourite part of in music when we we did the garage band. So we mixed 5 instrument. Those instrument we use guitar, piano, bass, electric guitar, and drum.The sound was pretty cool and it’s sounds like rocks star band.
                                              Goal
People Smart: In the past few weeks I’ve achieve my goal by working successfully with others. My teacher told to be a leader for our group so I took responsibility for my two year 7 group mate and I make sure that they don’t do something silly, and I make sure that they stay on task. So it was really great that I become a leader and It was great experience for me.Active Learner: To be an active learner I always remember to have a growth mindset. Growth mindset can help you to finish your work and It can help you to do the work that you don’t wanna do. Growth mindset is like when you don’t want to do your work but something inspires you to do it. Learning Smart: To be a smart learner you have to be in the right place and the right time. In our music I always get my stuff ready and I can show that I can be in the right place. Thinking smart: In music I can think creatively like mixing other instrument and making a good sound.
Cyber Smart: I can be trusted to use my device for the task I am meant to be doing. In hurumanu music teachers can trust me to use my device in a safe way like not searching up anything, I am just staying on task and I know what I meant to be doing. In hurumanu music I learnt a lot of things and I achieve a lot of goals that I needed to achieve.

This is the 10 things that I am grateful for.

Today we watch a video about kindness, so the video was kinda sad but the of it we all felt really happy. There was a kid who want's to buy his favourite cake but her mum can't afford it, because they don't have enough money to buy it, But there was a random man who buys the cake for him, they wasn't expecting it that someone would buy a cake for him, the kid felt really happy after the man buys him a cake. 

After a lot of years the kid grows a lot and he promised himself that he would do the same thing what the man did to him. One day there was a little girl who was in the store with his older brother and her grandmother. Her grandmother told her to buy a special one for his grandfather, so the little girl went to cake store and he ask the cashier girl to get the cake for him so he already got the cake and they already gonna pay for it but her grand mother doesn't have enough money to afford it, But there's a man who helped him. 

The man was the kid who can't afford the cake but there's a man who afford it for him, So that man helped the little girl to buys the cake so the man tried to chase them and tried to give them the cake that the girl wanted it for grand father. So the man says can you accept this cake but the little girl grand mother says There's no reason to buy the cake for us but her grand mother jut accept it because the little girl really want it. So the man told the girl to promised that someday if she grow up he would do the same thing what he did to her. So that's the whole story. Do a kind thing and it will comeback to you.
