Meteorology
Weather Facts.
A bolt lighting can travel at up to 136,000 mph and reach temperature of 30,000 Celsius hotter than the surface of the sun.
How Tornado is formed?
warm, moist air, usually from the south, lifted by a warm or cold front, causing an up draft.
The moisture condenses into clouds and precipitation and forms thunderstorm
How is rain and snow formed?
what makes clouds, rain, snow, hail and sleet. when warm, wet air rises, it cools, and water vapour condense out to form clouds. a cloud is made up of small drops of water or ice crystals, depend on it's height and how cold is the surrounding air.
Rain,
Frozen precipitation Melts and reaches the ground as rain.
Freezing Rain.
Frozen precipitation Melts in warm air. rain falls and freezes on cold surface
snow,
snow falls trough cold air and reaches the surface.
Water Cycle.
Do you know how it rains? If it's really hot, the sun heats up the air and then the air rises and the clouds form, then it's gonna rain.
How it's rain step by step
Warm air rises, air cools, condensation, clouds form, Rain.
The surface is heated by the sun, Air Rises air.
air expands and cools .
air condense.
water droplets grow to form raindrops.
How wind is formed?
The sun heats up the ground surface of the earth which then heats up the air above it the degree of solar heating varies at different points on the earth's surface. Hot air rises creating low pressure. as hot air rises, it's cools moves Horizontally and eventually falls down, creating high pressure at ground level.
How Hurricane is formed?
The ocean water turn liquid into vapour cause by the heat from the sun. the evaporating water form a cloud of warm, moist air that moves upward. As the warm, moist air rises, moist air rushes in to replace it. Hurricane form over water when cold water and warm water mix. The picture below has more information on how hurricane forms.
How Typhoon Form?
when wind blows in the area of the ocean where the water is warm. these wind collect fog or cloud or something very small drops and rise, when colder air moves in below. This creates pressure, whichcause the wind to move very quickly. the wind spin around of the centre of the typhoon Eye.
How Cyclone get their names?
According To meteorologist Cyclone were usually not named. The Tradition started with hurricanes in the Atlantic ocean, where tropical storms that reach sustained wind speeds of 39 miles per hour were given names.
